Calculate dividend yield
=B1/B2How it works in Excel
- B1 is the yearly dividend per share.
- B2 is the share price.
- Format the cell as a percentage.
- A very high yield can be a warning that the price has fallen.
The idea in general
It shows the cash income you get for each dollar invested in the stock.
What I assumed
- The dividend is in B1 and the price is in B2.
