Make a column fit its contents
What to do
- Put the pointer on the right edge of the column letter.
- Double-click.
Good to know
- Select several columns first to fit them all at once.
- The same trick works on the bottom edge of a row number.
The idea in general
Excel measures the longest entry and sizes the column to match.

- You are using Excel on a computer. Menus can look a little different on a Mac or in a browser.
