Color cells automatically
What to do
- Select the cells.
- Go to Home, then Conditional Formatting.
- Choose Highlight Cells Rules, then a rule such as Greater Than.
- Enter the value, pick a color and click OK.
Good to know
- To color a whole row, choose New Rule, then "Use a formula", and try =$B2>100.
- Use Clear Rules on the same menu to remove them.
The idea in general
The color changes with the data, so problems stand out without you checking each row.
