Keep the top row or first column in view
What to do
- Go to View, then Freeze Panes.
- Choose Freeze Top Row or Freeze First Column.
Good to know
- To freeze several rows, click the row below them first, then choose Freeze Panes.
- Choose Unfreeze Panes on the same menu to undo it.
The idea in general
The headings stay on screen, so you always know what each column means.
What I assumed
- You are using Excel on a computer. Menus can look a little different on a Mac or in a browser.
