Merge cells or center a title
What to do
- Select the cells.
- Go to Home, then Merge & Center.
Good to know
- Only the top-left value is kept.
- Merged cells can get in the way of sorting and filtering.
- A safer choice: press Ctrl+1, open Alignment, and choose Center Across Selection.
The idea in general
It joins several cells into one big cell, which suits titles but not data.
