Use a value from another sheet
What to do
- Click the cell where you want the value, and type =.
- Click the other sheet's tab.
- Click the cell you want, and press Enter.
Good to know
- It will look like =Sheet2!A1.
- Sheet names with spaces need quotes, such as ='Sales Data'!A1.
- Clicking also works while you write any longer formula.
The idea in general
The ! separates the sheet name from the cell, so it reads "this cell on that sheet".
What I assumed
- You are using Excel on a computer. Menus can look a little different on a Mac or in a browser.
