Stop people changing cells
What to do
- Select the cells people may change.
- Press Ctrl+1, open Protection, untick Locked and click OK.
- Go to Review, then Protect Sheet, and click OK.
Good to know
- All cells start as locked, but that only matters once the sheet is protected.
- Sheet protection prevents accidents. It is not real security.
The idea in general
It guards the formulas, while leaving the cells people need to fill in open.

- You are using Excel on a computer. Menus can look a little different on a Mac or in a browser.
