How do I...
Delete duplicate rows
What to do
- Click any cell in your data.
- Go to Data, then Remove Duplicates.
- Tick the columns that should match, and click OK.
Good to know
- This deletes rows for good, so save a copy first.
- To keep your data and get a clean list, use the UNIQUE formula.
The idea in general
It keeps the first copy of each row and removes the repeats.
What I assumed
- You are using Excel on a computer. Menus can look a little different on a Mac or in a browser.
