Make decisions
Do something if a cell is empty
=IF(A2="","Missing","OK")How it works in Excel
- "" means nothing at all, so A2="" tests for empty.
- "Missing" shows if it is empty.
- "OK" shows if it holds something.
- ISBLANK does a similar job, but it says a cell with a formula showing nothing is not blank.
- To leave the result empty, use "" as the answer.
The idea in general
It is a check that the form was filled in before moving on.
What I assumed
- The cell to check is A2.
Check the result on your own data before relying on it.
