List each item once (remove duplicates)
=UNIQUE(A2:A6)How it works in Excel
- A2:A6 is the list with repeats.
- Excel writes each item once, flowing down from the formula cell.
- Keep the cells below empty, or you will see a #SPILL! error.
- To sort too, use =SORT(UNIQUE(A2:A6)).
- It needs Excel 2021 or Microsoft 365.
The idea in general
You go through a list and cross off anything you have already seen.
What I assumed
- Your list is in A2:A6 and the cells below the formula are empty.
Check the result on your own data before relying on it.
