Add and count
Count rows that meet two conditions
=COUNTIFS(A2:A5,E2,B2:B5,">"&F2)How it works in Excel
- A2:A5 must match E2.
- B2:B5 must be greater than F2.
- Only rows passing both tests are counted.
- The & joins the > sign to the number in F2.
- You can add more pairs of range and condition.
- All ranges must be the same size.
The idea in general
You are counting only the rows that pass every test on your checklist.
What I assumed
- Categories are in A2:A5, numbers are in B2:B5, the category is in E2 and the number to beat is in F2.
Check the result on your own data before relying on it.
