Add and count
Keep a running total
=SUM($B$2:B2)How it works in Excel
- $B$2 is locked, so the start always stays at row 2.
- B2 is not locked, so the end moves down as you copy.
- Copy the formula down the column.
- The $ signs stop a reference from changing when copied.
- Each row adds everything from the top down to that row.
The idea in general
It is like a bank balance: each new row adds to everything before it.
What I assumed
- Your numbers start in B2, and you put this in C2 and copy it down.
Check the result on your own data before relying on it.
