Make initials from a name
=LEFT(A2,1)&LEFT(B2,1)How it works in Excel
- LEFT(A2,1) takes the first letter of A2.
- The & joins it to the first letter of B2.
- Wrap it in UPPER to make sure they are capitals.
The idea in general
You take one letter from each part and join them.
What I assumed
- The first name is in A2 and the last name is in B2.
