Find the middle number (median)

- MEDIAN puts the numbers in order and takes the middle one.
- With an even count, it averages the two middle numbers.
- It suits data with extreme values, such as salaries.
The idea in general
Half the values are above it and half are below, so one huge value cannot drag it around.
