Add and count
Show each number as a percent of the total
=B2/SUM($B$2:$B$5)How it works in Excel
- B2 is one number.
- SUM($B$2:$B$5) is the total of all of them.
- The $ signs keep the total fixed when you copy down.
- Format the cell as a percentage.
- Without the $ signs, the total range would slide down as you copy and give wrong answers.
- All the percentages should add up to 100%, which is a quick way to check.
The idea in general
A share is a part divided by the whole.
What I assumed
- Your numbers are in B2:B5, and you put this in C2 and copy it down.
Check the result on your own data before relying on it.
