Add and count
Rank numbers from highest to lowest
=RANK.EQ(B2,$B$2:$B$5,0)How it works in Excel
- B2 is the number being ranked.
- $B$2:$B$5 is the whole list.
- 0 means the highest number gets rank 1.
- Use 1 instead of 0 to make the lowest number rank 1.
- Tied numbers share a rank, and the next rank is skipped.
The idea in general
It tells you where one number places in the whole group, like a finishing position in a race.
What I assumed
- Your numbers are in B2:B5, and you put this in C2 and copy it down.
Check the result on your own data before relying on it.
