The basics
Round a number
=ROUND(A2,2)How it works in Excel
- A2 is the number.
- 2 is how many decimal places to keep.
- Use 0 for a whole number, and -2 for the nearest hundred.
- This changes the value itself. Number formatting only changes how it looks.
The idea in general
Rounding keeps a number close to the original but simpler to read.
What I assumed
- The number is in A2 and you want 2 decimal places.
Check the result on your own data before relying on it.
