Find the last day of a month
=EOMONTH(A2,0)How it works in Excel
- A2 is any date in the month.
- 0 means the same month. 1 means next month.
- Format the cell as a date if you see a plain number.
- It handles leap years and months of different lengths for you.
- For the first day of a month, use =EOMONTH(A2,-1)+1.
The idea in general
It finds where a month ends, which is useful for reports and billing dates.
