Look things up
Find the last match instead of the first
=XLOOKUP(E2,A2:A5,B2:B5,"Not found",0,-1)How it works in Excel
- 0 means an exact match.
- -1 means start searching from the bottom.
- This suits lists where the newest entry is at the end.
- It needs Excel 2021 or Microsoft 365.
The idea in general
You read the list from the bottom up, and stop at the first hit.
What I assumed
- The list is in A2:A5, the values are in B2:B5 and the item is in E2.
Check the result on your own data before relying on it.
