Look things up
Look up using two conditions
=XLOOKUP(1,(A2:A5=E2)*(B2:B5=F2),C2:C5,"Not found")How it works in Excel
- (A2:A5=E2) checks each row for the first condition.
- (B2:B5=F2) checks each row for the second condition.
- Multiplying them gives 1 only where both are true.
- XLOOKUP finds that 1 and returns the value from C2:C5.
- In a true or false check, true counts as 1 and false counts as 0.
- If several rows match, you get the first one.
- It needs Excel 2021 or Microsoft 365.
The idea in general
Instead of searching for one thing, you mark the rows that pass both tests and take the first marked row.
What I assumed
- Your conditions are in columns A and B, the answer is in column C, and what you want is in E2 and F2.
Check the result on your own data before relying on it.
