Work with dates
Write a date in a chosen style
=TEXT(A2,"yyyy-mm-dd")How it works in Excel
- A2 is the date.
- The part in quotes sets how it looks.
- Without TEXT, joining a date to words shows its plain number.
- Try "mmm d, yyyy" for a style such as Mar 15, 2026.
The idea in general
It locks a date into the exact words you want.
What I assumed
- The date is in A2.
Check the result on your own data before relying on it.
