Find the first day of a month

How it works in Excel

• EOMONTH(A2,-1) finds the last day of last month.
• Adding 1 lands on the first of this month.
• Format the cell as a date if you see a plain number.

The idea in general

The day after a month ends is the day the next one starts.

What I assumed

• A date in the month you want is in A2.

Check the result on your own data before relying on it.
