Work with dates
Show an age in years and months
=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"y")&" years, "&DATEDIF(A2,B2,"ym")&" months"How it works in Excel
- "y" counts full years.
- "ym" counts the months left over.
- The & joins it all into a sentence.
- Use TODAY() in place of B2 for a current age.
The idea in general
You count the full years, and then what is left over.
What I assumed
- The earlier date is in A2 and the later date is in B2.
Check the result on your own data before relying on it.
